The Pussycat-boat (De Poezenboot)

The Pussycat-boat is a barge permanently moored on the Singel Canal in the heart of Amsterdam. The barge is owned by Henriette van Weelde, and it, along with two others are used to provide shelter for any abandoned, stray or sick cats in the city of Amsterdam.

Henriette, who has five volunteer helpers, receives no financial help from the city authorities. The barges are open to the general public every day between 1pm and 3pm. The address is: De Poezenboot, Singel T/O nr 40, Postbus 10754, 1001 ET Amsterdam.
