The Masters Cat
When Charles Dickens's cat produced a litter and moved into his study, he decided not to keep them. But one little kitten is said to have snuffed out his reading candle with its paw, to gain his attention. The tiny female kitten was allowed to stay and became known as the Master's Cat.
