Ailurophobia - a deep-seated fear of cats, is a phobia Napoleon suffered from and many people today still suffer from. The condition results in the person going into complete panic when in the presence of a feline. This may or may not cause the sufferer to hate cats, and if they do it would be a secondary thing. Therefore, I believe we should make a distinction between true ailurophobes and people who just detest cats.
